About Us
Gardening Enthusiasts
Gardening can be very therapeutic as you become one with the Mother Earth.
Esther Mays loved garden work. It was no surprise that she had her own backyard garden where she would grow her own fruits and vegetables, from strawberries and rhubarbs to potatoes, onions, tomatoes, greens and bell peppers. And her green thumb kept her home aesthetically pleasing with an array of festive flowers and plants.
We have many memories of her going into the backyard garden to gather fruits and vegetables for preparing and making meals, from rhubarb pies and strawberry pies to potato salads, fried onions, potato pancakes, garden salad and many other tasty treats!

Esther M. Mays
The EMM Foundation, Inc. is named after our dearly beloved and departed Esther M. Mays, who was a Nurse practitioner and gardening enthusiast. She was a gentle, kind, soft-spoken yet powerful spirit who dedicated her life to caring for and serving others. A tall, elegant, classy lady, she often put everyone else's needs before herself.
In honor of Mrs. Mays' memory, we dedicate ourselves to continuing her legacy to care for those who care for others, and to provide bakeries and sweet treats made with love.
Nurses, doctors, medical professionals, we offer ongoing support and encouragement for your daily healthcare practices. We also dedicate a peaceful sanctuary for you to get away from the everyday work life as we create a place of sweet tranquility in Esther's Garden while you enjoy some of Esther's favorite recipes.
